In an EMERGENCY

There are two dental Emergencies that must not be ignored;

  1. Bleeding after tooth extraction or surgery
  2. Sudden swelling accompanied by acute pain

Contact the Surgery immediately either by attending in person, or telephoning on
                                         023 8087 1166
preferably before 09.00
                                                                        (We open at 08.00)

If bleeding should occur after tooth extraction or surgery, first
follow the instructions given to you after your operation

then contact the Receptionists.

I have toothache, what should I do?

If you loose a filling, crown, bridge or denture, or if you break a tooth this is an inconvenience and not normally an emergency.  However, you should contact the Surgery as soon as practicable.

If you have a Consultation booked within a short while, contact the Receptionists and explain what has happened to you.  The most suitable length of appointment can then be arranged.
